MAKER SPACE AT GALION PUBLIC LIBRARY — from 3-5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 19,all ages are invited to create their own button designs. Completed designs will be turned into inch-and-a-half buttons using our button maker. All supplies will be provided. Participants may make up to three buttons each. Maker space will be hosted in the Children’s Room, but all ages are welcome to make buttons. Registration is not required. You can just show up.

GALION SCHOOLS PUBLIC MEETING — Galion City Schools will have a general public meeting to discuss the planning of Federal Program Grants including IDEA-B and Title I funds for the use of special education and programming services.The meeting will be during the Sept. 19 at 6:30 p.m. regular school board meeting, at Galion Middle School.

CHICKEN BBQ AT GALION ST. JOE’S — The 15th annual Knights of Columbus Chicken Barbecue is Saturday, Sept. 9, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Galion St. Joseph Activity Center, 115 N. Liberty Street. You can dine in, carry-out or pick up dinner through a drive-thru.

COUNCIL ON AGING BOARD — The monthly meeting of the Crawford County Council on Aging, Inc. Board of Trustees is Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 10 a.m. at the Crawford County Council on Aging Office, 200 S. Spring St., Bucyrus, OH. Call 419-562-3050 for information.

SAFETY COUNCIL MEETING —he next monthly meeting of the Galion Safety Council is Thursday, Sept. 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Galion Moose Lodge 303, 520 S. Market St. It costs $10. The program is a “Meet and greet yuor BWC Rep Event.” A panel of experts will be available to answer questions about almost any aspect of workers’ compensation: claims processes, safety concerns, safety grants, claims management, BWC programs and premium calculation and/or installment payments.Reservation deadline is noon Tuesday, Sept. 19. TEEN BOARD MEETING AT LIBRARY — starts at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 21 at Galion Public Library. Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to participate in the library’s Teen Board, which meets monthly to plan teen programs and select materials for the YA collection. Teens do not need to register before attending.

TEEN GAME NIGHT AT GPL — This is 6-8 p.m. at Galion Public Library. Join us for board and card games. Bring your own game or play one of ours. Grades 6-12 are welcome to attend. Refreshments are provided. You do not need to register for the games club: you can just show up.

BOARD MEETING — The Crawford County Board of Developmental Disabilities will have a regularly scheduled monthly board meeting on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m., in the board room at 1650 E. Southern Avenue, Bucyrus.

CITY PLANNING COMMISSION — The City of Galion Planning Commission will have a special meeting Monday, Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers. Jim Grubbs, Superintendent of Galion City Schools, will present the school’s future development plans, which will require a change in zoning. The public is encouraged to attend to ask questions or voice concerns.

GRIEF THERAPY SEMINAR — Snyder Funeral Homes is hosting The Art of Grief Therapy seminar. Two continuing education units will be offered free of charge for LISWs and RNs. This seminar is open to the public and anyone interested in learning a new approach to managing grief. The seminar is Monday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. to noon.
