Hogs for Dogs on Sunday to benefit humane society

BUCYRUS — The Humane Society Serving Crawford County is holding its annual Hogs for Dogs Charity Ride event on Aug. 27.

“This is our 10th annual event and we’re doing it a little differently this year,” said Victoria Carmean, director of the Humane Society Serving Crawford County. “The Hogs for Dogs Charity Ride will be run more like a poker run this year with cash prizes.”

Registration is $25 per person, which includes a t-shirt and dinner.

Registration will take place from 1-2 p.m. on Aug. 27 at the Humane Society, 3590 Ohio 98 in Bucyrus. The first bikes will head out at 1:30 p.m. and the last one will leave at 2:15 p.m. All bikes are welcome.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Humane Society Serving Crawford County. For more information call 419-562-9149.

The Humane Society Serving Crawford County is a non-profit organization whose function and goal is to improve animal welfare and provide protection for all animals.

An organization of dedicated volunteers, the shelter assumes the responsibility to prevent cruelty and neglect to the animals of Crawford County and to curb the overpopulation of cats and dogs through education and action.
