GALION — Loren and Barbara Tischer of Galion will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017. The former Barbara A. McCormick and Loren W. Tischer were married in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Aug. 12, 1952. The couple has two sons and daughters-in-law and one granddaughter: Tim and Elaine Tischer of Galion; Steve and Nancy Tischer of Shelby; and their daughter and son-in-law; Trina (Tischer) and Jake Bowdle of Mansfield.

Mr. Tischer is retired from Wickes Lumber. Mrs. Tischer is retired from JC Penney.

There will be a family dinner later in August. The couple enjoyed their annual family reunions with the Tischers on July 23 and the McCormicks on Aug. 12.
