Kingwood Center decorated for the holidays

MANSFIELD — Kingwood Center Gardens, 50 N. Trimble Road, is again decorated for the holidays.

“Deck the Halls: Christmas Carols” is the theme for this years decorations. Kingwood will host a variety of activities and enjoyments such as live music, dozens of uniquely trimmed Christmas trees, many photo ops, a beautifully decorated Greenhouse serving hot cocoa and cookies, outdoor light displays, Pizza with Santa, out door campfire, and more!

A holiday experience for the whole family, Kingwood’s grand entrance into their historic Kingwood Hall will display a towering 18 foot Christmas tree decorated in dazzling silver and gold ornaments, garlands and ribbons. Rooms will be adorned with holiday ornamentation and design, centered around the many different Christmas carols chosen by the garden clubs and volunteer organizations and staff. You’ll see breathtaking displays inspired by many of those Christmas carols we hold near & dear to our hearts, no matter what our age. Christmas carols vary from “Silent Night,” “Hark the Herald Angels Sing,” to “Frosty the Snowman,” and “Here Comes Santa Claus.”

New for 2016

  • The Expanded Christmas Tree Walk: The trees will be in Kingwood’s Exhibit Hall and Greenhouse. There will be a display of 35 Christmas trees uniquely decorated by local organizations and businesses. This is a spectacular display of many, well known area businesses & organizations. The ambiance of twinkle lights, beautiful tree decorations and unique displays is a magical exhibit you must experience.
  • Gingerbread Village: Featuring life sized gingerbread men, giant candy, giant gingerbread houses, five Christmas trees done by local garden clubs and much more. The Gingerbread Contest entries will once again be on display, adding to this traditional and classical holiday theme.

Admission is $5; children 6 and under are free. Parking is free in our main Trimble Road entrance parking lot.

Christmas at Kingwood runs Nov. 26 through Dec. 30, every Thursday through Sunday, 2-8 p.m.

Christmas at Kingwood is closed to the public Monday through Wednesday; Friday, Dec. 2 for a members-only event, and Dec. 24, 25.
