JEWELRY SALE — The Second Time Around Jewelry Sale is Saturday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 130 E. Walnut St., Galion. There will be a large selection of gently used jewelry, scarves, and handbags at reasonable prices. All proceeds go to local missions.

GOSPEL CONCERT WITH SIMON AVILA — Simon Avila will present a gospel concert on Sunday, Oct.. 9 at 6 p.m. at Windfall Emanuel United Church of Christ., 1781 Biddle Rd. (corner of Windfall and Biddle roads in Galion. Avila sings everyone’s favorite old-time gospel music and presents a program that is very uplifting and full of gratitude and praise to the Lord. Everyone is invited to attend. A freewill offering will be received.

MEN’ S PRAYER BREAKFAST — The Men’s Group at Woodlawn United Methodist Church in Bucyrus is hosting a Men’s Prayer Breakfast on Wednesday, October 12, at 7 a.m. The breakfast will take place in the Bucyrus Community Hospital Cafeteria. Mr. Dick Schafrath, former NFL Football Player with the Cleveland Browns for 13 years and former Ohio State Senator, is scheduled to speak. Mr. Schafrath also played for the Ohio State Buckeyes.

MAKE AND BAKE — The annual Make and Bake for Community Christian Church is Oct. 13, beginning at 6 p.m. The public is cordially invited to attend. Handmade crafts and food items will be available for purchase, along with a silent auction and raffle for a handmade king-size quilt. You do not need to be present to win. A Soup and Sandwich Supper will be available for a $6 donation. All profits will be used for Church service projects. Community Christian is at the corner of Ohio 19 and Biddle Road.
