Have you fallen in the past year? Do you take more than six medications? Do you steady yourself holding onto furniture at home when walking? If you answered yes to any of these questions, please consider joining us for the OhioHealth free Fall Prevention Clinics.

The clinic is designed for anyone who has a history or a fear of falls and anyone who has fallen during any of these activities: Eating out, shopping, traveling or keeping up with grandchildren, getting in and out of a car, shower or bathtub, going up and down stairs, getting up and down from chairs, sofa or bed, or picking up something from the floor.

The OhioHealth Fall Prevention Clinic provides recommendations to help individuals decrease their risk of falling and improve quality of life by increasing confidence in moving around safely. The screening will consist of a brief questionnaire and two, fall risk assessments completed by physical and occupational therapists and assistants to help identify the level of fall risk.

Upcoming clinics are scheduled on the following dates and locations: April 5 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Marion Senior Center, 2375 Harding Hwy E., Marion, Ohio 43302; April 14 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Marion Centre (formerly Southland Mall), 1509 Marion-Waldo Road, Marion, Ohio 43302; and April 25 from 8 to 10 a.m. at Marion Family YMCA, 645 Barks Road E., Marion, Ohio 43302
