GALION — Galion Mayor Tom O’Leary remains in the intensive care unit at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. While his condition is critical he is making daily improvements. His vital signs are stable and he is responsive.

The O’Leary family wishes to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and prayers and ask that you continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

O’Leary suffered an abdominal aortic aneurysm on May 3.

He was life-flighted to Riverside Methodist Hospital  where emergency surgery was performed.

An abdominal aortic aneurysm is an enlarged area in the lower part of the aorta, the major blood vessel that supplies blood to the body which runs from the heart to the abdomen.
