Christ United Methodist Church beef and noodle dinner raised more than $2,500

The members of Christ United Methodist Church, 130 E. Walnut St., would like to thank all in the community and surrounding area who attended, supported and donated to the beef and noodle dinner Oct. 7 at the church.

All proceeds from the dinner were used to support the relief efforts of those affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma.

More than 375 meals were served and the church raised more than $2,500 for the relief efforts. The proceeds were sent to the United Methodist Committee for Relief (UMCOR) to be distributed to hurricane victims.

Thank you Galion and surrounding communities for your wonderful support. It was an exciting evening of giving, socializing and helping others.

We are so fortunate to live in a community of individuals willing to give of themselves to help others in need.
