In Galion, there’s no business like food business …

GALION — Work is continuing this week on four eating establishments in Galion.

The parking lot and entrance at Arby’s, off Ohio 598, are still being constructed. At the same time concrete is being poured, workers also are busy inside putting together the kitchen and dining areas.

At Tim Horton’s on Harding Way West, the building framework is up.

A new roof is being put atop the former Varsity Grill building, which is expected to open in the spring under the management of the team that owns and operates Ralphie’s in Marion. Workers also have been busy ripping out some old landscaping areas.

These three establishments also are already looking for employees.

And work continues on a new restaurant next to Victory Lanes on Portland Way South, in a now vacant building.

All of that work, combined with the new Sleep Inn at Ohio 598 and Brandt Road, are positive signs for the community.
