Rollie Wilson, Galion, will turn 95 years old on Friday, June 19.
He was born in 1920 in Columbus, Ohio, to Howard and Harriett Wilson. He graduated from North Robinson High School in 1938.
After his service as a tail gunner in B-17s during World War II, he returned to Crawford County and married Esther Nungesser. They settled on a farm on the Lincoln Highway where they lived for over 60 years. They enjoyed harness racing, supporting Colonel Crawford activities and attending OSU girls basketball in Columbus.
Rollie is retired from Crawford Construction. He is a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Galion. After Esther’s passing in 2012, Rollie moved to Magnolia Terrace.
