Calling all amateur film makers! The Crawford County Arts Council will host a contest for amateur videographers interested in showcasing their talents.
A director’s life is often reflected in the film he or she makes, so why not consider using the medium of digital shorts to tell a tale? Shorts, no more then 5 minutes in length, may be entered in two categories:
— “What Makes Crawford County Special?” This category seeks submissions that highlight either individuals, places or attractions within Crawford County.
— “Open Content” (Subject matter is filmmakers’ choice.) This category seeks submissions that allow the artists to explore style and creative expression while making a short on a topic that is close to them.
A panel of judges chosen by the CCAC will determine the best overall videos in each category. First, second and third place winners and cash prizes will be awarded in each category. Submissions are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2014. Rules and regulations of form and content must be observed. The CCAC reserves the right to use all video shorts for promotional purposes for itself and Crawford County. Complete rules may be reviewed at www.facebook.com/pages/CrawfordCountyArtsCouncil Winner’s work will be screened for the public; event details to be announced.
E-mail submissions to email@example.com or send submissions, either on a CD or jump drive, via snail mail to:
